My larping/Yennefer outfit

     So my fiancee and I went to Goodwill yesterday just to walk around and see what stuff they had.  While there we found a pair of fake leather pants and a black shirt that when put together not only do they look like a cool larping outfit; they also sort of look like a cross between 2 of the outfits that Yennefer wears in the Witcher 3 game.  I still have to get a few more pieces to finish it, but I look forward finally getting it done.  This only shows that you can find a lot of cool stuff going to thrift stores, salvation army stores, and Goodwill stores. 

Blow out

     So yesterday (10/07/2017) my fiancee and I were on our way to the Sheriff's Office National Night Out event.   We got everything unloaded from his car and my truck and decided to got get something to eat before the event began.  So while on the way back we hear a loud bang noise and pull into a Walmart Neighborhood Market gas station and see what it was.  Turns out that the front driver's side tire blew out.  Well, we thought no biggie we'll just put the spare tire on.  So we go to get the spare and come to find out that the car did not come with a spare tire.  It only came with an fix a flat kit and a small air compressor.  Obviously that is not going to help us.  So I call AAA and put in a service order for a tow truck.  I ended up staying with the car so my fiancee could go to event (thank god his father came and took him). 
     So while I'm waiting for the tow truck the heavens open up and all I can think of is I hope everything is okay at the event.  My fiancee comes back and says it started thundering and lightening at the event so he decided to leave and come wait for the tow truck with me.  We ended up waiting 3 hours for a tow truck but we got the car home.  So for now we are down to one car again and now have to figure out car pooling.  So everyone knows; if you get a 2015 Hyundai Veloseter it does not come with a spare tire only a fix a flat kit.

My greatest fear is my secret thrill

     I like most people have a huge fear of spiders.  I don't like that they walk around on 8 legs and can climb walls.  I don't like the eyes and the webs that they make most of the time.  If I find one in any of the rooms of my house I have to have my fiancee to go kill it. 
     But I also get a secret thrill from them too.  I can look at a picture and get a sort of adrenaline rush from it spiked by my fear.  Watching horror movies with killer or mutant spiders are my all time secret thrill of these creatures.  Something about a monster that is made from something I already fear makes it worth while for me.
     This thing I get most is that that chill that goes down my spine when i am watching movies and event documentaries with this pest in it.  I don't understand why I have this thrill but I guess it might be a way for me to try to get over this fear.  But I also feel that if I didn't have this fear then I wouldn't be in love with the movies that I like that uses this creature as the bad thing in the movie. 
     So I guess I just want to know if anyone else out there has this secret thrill like I do.

My new outfit

    I went with my finacee to a mall in Jacksonville.  We went to a store called Subculture Corsets and the store is amazing.  They not only sell corsets but other clothing as well.  I got a whole Steam Punk inspired outfit.  I can hardly wait for a time to wear it.  If you are interested in looking into this store here is the link https://subculturecorsets.com/ .  They are always getting new stuff all the time.

List of Goals I want to do or try

I have a few things that I have been thinking about doing or at least giving it a try and thought I would share.

1. Trying bullet journaling.
2. Try my hand at making beard oil for my Fiancee.
3. Try my hand at making soap and other bathroom products.
4. Become a Perfectly Posh Consultant (when I save up enough money).
5. Write a story to be published.

Hurricane Irma 2017

     I have survived Hurricane Irma.  I got called into work and ended up staying the night on Sunday so that if they needed extra dispatchers I was there to help.  It was scary but we tried to make the best of it.  I hope a lot of my fellow Floridians weathered the storm as well as I did.  I still have my home and family so I am thankful for everything that I have.

Podcast

So I have been thinking for awhile about doing a podcast channel.  I don't really know what I'm going to do it about.  I think I will just do it on geeky stuff I do and then go from there.  Maybe do some of my book reviews on it and maybe movie and app reviews.  Just have to wait and see what happens.
